NOT THE END TILL SPRING

The Up River Yact Club held their 29th end of season dinner and dance at the Middleton Hotel, Southend, on Saturday 23rd October, some 250 people had an excellent dinner and spent an enjoyable evening dancing.

Mrs Nicholson, wife of the very popular Commodore presented the cups and Prizes to the winners and runners up of the seasons races. This year, for the first time, the crews of the winning and second boats were given replicas, recognising the importance of the long suffering crews of racing crafts, who play such an important part in the course.
