Conditions had eased sufficiently to allow one class of children from Hockley Primary School to be transferred to the school at the beginning of Spring term. There are, however some difficulties remaining. Sport is severely hampered by the lack of a playing field, although several friendly netball and football matches have been played.

Two points of interest: French is taught to the A streams, and all boys in the second year receive instructions in basic House craft and Cookery.

After school activities and clubs were set up for:-
A dancing club, Modeling club, a printing club, and a Gym club have been formed, whilst a photographic club and explorers club and an Astronomical club are planned.

Educational visits have been made on Saturday mornings to the:- Imperial Institute, The Natural History Museum and to Leichners, the cosmetic manufacturers.
A visit during school hours was made by Second year forms to Fords at Dagenham.
Arrangements for visits to Devon from April 3rd to April 7th are complete, and plans are going ahead for a projected week in the Peak District by a youth hostelling party in August. Other more local visits are proposed to such places as Howards Dairies Leigh.
